This miniature triangle ('tit-fer) was hand-formed in wax and cast into solid metal.
'Tit-feris the triangle instrument you'll often find used in Cajun music. Its name comes from the French words"petit," meaning little, and "fer," meaning iron.
The triangle measures approximately 1-1/2" wideby 1-3/8" long and weighs 3.3 grams in bronze (about the same as 3 paperclips). The wand measures approximately 1/8" wideby 1-1/4" long and weighs 1.3 grams in bronze (about the same as 1 paperclip). Each hangs from gold-filled or sterling silver ear wires.All our ear wires are nickel free.
